Begin with the change you want to make

Write down your main priority in one sentence. It might be understanding why you are shedding hair, exploring a treatment pathway, covering a thinning area, or finding a wig you feel comfortable styling.

The NHS recommends getting a GP’s view on the cause before choosing a commercial hair clinic. Take existing advice to the consultation so it can inform the next discussion.

There is no need to arrive already committed to a treatment name. Start with your concern and ask which route would address it.

HLC Hair Loss Clinics: assessment and therapy enquiries

The hair-loss pathway is the place to discuss assessment, laser therapy, PRP enquiries and suitable next steps. Ask what is being assessed, why a particular option is suggested and whether another level of medical care is needed.

Read our laser guide and PRP guide for questions about a proposed course, practitioner responsibility, progress and costs.

HLC Hair Systems: hair replacements, wigs and styling

A replacement system is a coverage and styling choice. The system is not a treatment for the underlying cause of hair loss. At HLC Hair Systems, discuss colour, density, cut, fitting and the routine you would like to manage.

Current options are £450 for a self-fit system and kit, £500 for a single system and £900 for three systems over one year. Maintenance costs £90 per appointment and is separate from every package. Ask about any fitting or cutting charges before deciding.

See the full pricing guide for a comparison of the packages.

Tell the team which conversation you need

Both routes start with an initial consultation rather than an automatic purchase. Call 020 7377 0727 and mention either HLC hair-loss therapy or HLC Hair Systems, along with your main goal.

Brick Lane Clinic appointments are at 6 Brick Lane, London E1 6RF. HLC Hair Systems also has a Belsize Road option; confirm that location when booking a system consultation. Leave the first conversation with a clear next step and an explanation of what any paid appointment would cover.
